History of Hanuman Dhara

The history of hanuman dhara is related with mythological Ramji-mandir (math). This ramji-mandir is at the door-step of “Uppar-kot.” At the time there was dense forest. There was one step – well here. Inside forest one naked women teasing people. She eats people and saints.

Govardhandasji Maharaj the saint originates from Rajasthan and Fakkad came here for Girnar Parikrma. He refused to king to visit a royal – court. He has shown miracle and that naked Lady surrendered.

He is wearing Iron knick-knacks weighting 25Kg. (1.25 Man) now present in Ramji mandir. Here the idol of God Ram is black, Which is at only two places in India. I.e Ayodhya Ram Janmabhumi and here at Ramji mandir (upparkot) junagadh.

Govardhandasji Maharaj has visited the Hanuman Dhara worshiped here. He is known to be the first person to highlight this inaccessible and mysterious place. He has perception of God Hanuman here!
